ISRO invited professionals to apply for a training course titled Remote Sensing: An Overview for Policymakers
ISRO has announced a training course called Remote Sensing: An Overview for Decision Makers for Professionals. The objective of the training course, which takes place offline, is to instill an appreciation of the advantages and limitations of remote sensing technology and geographic information system techniques to aid in the planning and management of resources. natural and disasters. The course also enables participants to share their experiences and knowledge with the aim of further improving the use of geospatial technology and its applications, ”said the Indian Institute for Remote Sensing, a center of the Indian Organization of space research.
The training course will run from January 18-21, 2022, and there will be lectures and demonstrations on the IIRS campus by senior and experienced faculty from the institute using state-of-the-art hardware and software equipment. The remote sensing training course is aimed at the following participants: seasoned professionals, managers, project leaders, planners or decision-makers from different fields, such as agriculture, forestry, water resources, environment and ecology, disaster management, meteorology, geography, economy, urban and oceanographic among others. All Indian service officers with 5 years experience or senior officials or officials working in government organizations, academic institutes, research institutes, geospatial industry, NGOs or contractors with 15 years service experience .
